Cinco de Mayo! Had a chance to meet up with some friends for a mexican fiesta before going to the Pirates game yesterday. It was a hot and muggy day as the sun set on Pittsburgh but that didn’t stop the Pirates from pulling through on a 3-2 win against the Cincinnati Reds. On top of it all, it was a fireworks night. If anyone knows Pittsburgh, they know we like our fireworks and these did not disappoint.

Boston Marathon 2012, with temperatures in the upper 80’s people were dropping like flies at the finish line. There were over 2,100 reports of dehydration and exhaustion that day, I was sweating just watching them. Of course I was smart enough to have an ice cold margarita before I went out to watch these lunatics run. It was also Patriots Day, largely celebrated in Boston, the people took to the streets with drinks in hand to beat the heat.

Thin Lizzy

I had just arrived in Berkeley the night before around 10 pm after driving up from visiting my sister in Santa Barbara. After just meeting Maria’s new roommate Andrew and his girlfriend Amanda I was immediately invited to join them climbing tomorrow at Mt St Hellena’s in Napa. I declined at first but joined them anyway and had a blast. Glad I changed my mind, made some new friends and had a great time climbing. I ended up hanging out with these guys the next two weeks as I postponed my return to Pittsburgh day after day after day…

And so it begins…

I’ve been off the inter webs for a couple years now and I thought it might be time to get back in touch with the outside world. I’ve been going through my photos and realized I’ve got no outlet to share them. Some have stories, some don’t. I guess my goal here is to show the places I’ve been and some of the things I’ve seen. It’s been a while and I got a lot of back-blogging to do so sit tight, this might take a while.
